The consultation

Seeing an osteopath in Brussels

Osteopathy is a manual therapy that looks at the body as a whole. Rather than treating only the place that hurts, the osteopath looks for what made the body lose its mobility: a joint, a muscle, fascia, posture or long-standing tension. It is not about “cracking” joints, but about working precisely on the tissues to restore mobility and relieve pain.

At the CIRCAE centre in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Claire Duren has practised osteopathy since 1990. A physiotherapist by training (ISCAM), she qualified as an osteopath D.O. at the IWGS and continues her training at the Sutherland College of Osteopathic Medicine; she also brings mindfulness into her practice. She sees patients of every age, from babies to older adults, and works closely with the centre’s doctors and therapists.
